La Vénus aux fleurs
Un restaurateur de tableaux du Louvre se retrouve en présence de Vénus, tout droit sortie de la toile grandiose du peintre italien Botticelli. La jeune femme s’appelle Ysé de Saint-Pierre, nom de l’apôtre qui décide de la destination (Purgatoire, Paradis ou Enfer) des âmes après la mort. Conséquence logique : le héros du livre tombe aussitôt amoureux d’Ysé de Saint-Pierre, qui l’invite à restaurer son âme, tout en restaurant le tableau de Botticelli !
